LPC
Robin specializes in counseling children, teens, women, couples, and families who are dealing with hurts and challenges that are negatively affecting their lives. Robin has experience helping people work through such issues as depression, anxiety, boundaries, self-esteem, grief and loss, negative thinking, abuse, parenting, and troubled relationships.
Robin uses an integrative approach that allows for individual treatment planning. Through drawing on a variety of counseling theories, Robin focuses primarily on a client-centered (empathetic listening) approach. She also uses a cognitive-behavioral approach, which guides clients toward setting reasonable, positive goals for their lives. Robin believes that, with the help of God, and given appropriate tools and resources, clients have the ability to heal themselves. She feels the therapist's role is to help clients recognize and use the God-given strengths they have.
