Are you feeling frustrated, emotionally hurt, anxious, depressed or powerless? Is your life being held up because of past traumas? Then, let’s take a walk together! My role is to assist you in finding purpose and meaning in your life. I am committed to helping you achieve your personal goals by building upon your God given strengths, developing a strong support system and empowering you to reach success.
Professionally, I have over ten years of experience working in the human service field, both in criminal justice and social work. I devoted most of those years to counseling adolescents who presented with PTSD, anxiety, depression and anger. I helped those clients develop problem-solving skills, increase self-awareness and taught them how to master their emotions.
Currently, I help adults with parenting, relationships, codependency, social anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, childhood traumas, vocational counseling, life coaching and substance use disorders. I utilize the person-centered approach while also implementing various modalities, such as: psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and neurolinguistic programming.
Education: Zeke has a master’s in Social Work and Public Administration from Grand Valley State University, Certification in Addictions Studies from Grand Rapids Community College, B.A in Criminal Justice and a Certification on Homeland Security from Michigan State University.
