Lisa specializes in counseling children, adolescents, and adults within individual, family, and marriage counseling frameworks. As a professional, Lisa has over ten years of experience working within the human services field, in early childhood, developmental disabilities, and social work. Devoting the majority of those years to working with children, several of those years to working with developmentally disabled individuals, and some of those years focusing on an inpatient therapy. These experiences have inspired growth and personal development while providing them with the support and framework needed to tackle and overcome their life’s challenges. Lisa particularly enjoys working with those struggling with life transitions utilizing a person-centered approach to treatment. She utilizes various modalities in her treatment interventions, such as psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy.

Lisa has experience helping clients deal with a variety of issues and concerns including Stress, Anger, Trauma, Addictions, Eating Disorders, self-injury, Suicidal/Homicidal thoughts, Hallucinations, Bipolar Disorder, Boundaries, Communication, Connecting with others (managing loneliness, feelings of emptiness and desire for belongingness), Depression, Divorce, Family Issues, Guilt, Life-Transitions, Parenting, Personality Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Relationship Management, Loss, Rejection, and Self Conceptualization (self-esteem issues).

Education: Lisa received her Master of Social work from Grand Valley State University in 2019, Bachelors of Psychology in 2016, and Associates of Applied Science Degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education in 2005. She is currently a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker and has her CAADC, Dev. Plan.
