Cindy is a graduate of Calvin College, Michigan State University, and received two Master’s degrees from Aquinas College. Cindy’s focus is on creating a safe and engaging space for individuals, couples, and families. The therapeutic relationship is a priority. She respects the uniqueness of the individual and family unit, and utilizes a variety of personalized therapeutic approaches including: cognitive behavior therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness, and strength based approaches. Cindy is certified in the Gottman Method approach to couples therapy.
Navigating life’s busyness is often a challenge. The art of being still is relinquished to hectic schedules, instant communication, and life changes. Cindy’s goals for her clients are to collaboratively work with her clients, help them discover hope for the future, and experience a life that is filled with peace and joy.
Cindy’s areas of experience include: couples/family counseling, parenting, relationships, women’s issues, depression, panic attacks, social anxiety, stress management, grief and loss through the life-span, communication challenges and trauma.
