Monica's provides therapy to children and adolescents as well as support to their families. Monica's approach to therapy is Cognitive Behavioral which focuses on how your thoughts and beliefs are connected to your actions. Monica also includes play therapy as this allows children to create new strategies and process situations, feeling, and emotions connected to their daily life. Monica's training in trauma allows her to explore with the children the effects of traumatic times in their lives.
Monica received her Bachelor's Degree from Calvin College in Elementary Education. She has twenty-five years of classroom teaching experience. She received her Master's in Clinical and Mental Health from Cornerstone University/Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.
