Tim Harlos, MDiv, MA, LLPC
Our lives are stories that we are coauthoring with the Divine author. Tim’s goal in counseling is to come alongside his clients to explore their stories as well as to assist them in making positive changes for a healthier well-being. As we create a trusting relationship, Tim’s unique giftedness of curiosity will help us explore those areas in which we have decided to work on together. No matter what diagnosis or issues you are facing, the best resources you have are your relationships. Therefore, relationships are key, not only in this office, but also in your familial, social, and career life.
In a story from ancient times, a woman named Hagar was a victim of abuse, cast out, and alone. In her isolation she cried for help, and she was heard, understood for who she was, and “seen”, probably for the first time in her life. As we explore your story, I want you to be heard, understood and seen for who you are body, mind and spirit, so that you can see that your story matters.
Tim got his MA in Counseling and his MDiv from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He works with ages 13 and up, has experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief, and is trained in EFT.
In Tim’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult children. He and his wife travel as well as camp in our newly restored travel trailer. He also enjoys adventurous activities including hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling, biking, and kayaking.
