MA, TLLP
Life is full of challenges, and while we often try to face them on our own, there’s incredible strength in reaching out for support. Having someone walk beside you—someone who listens, understands, and helps you navigate your struggles—can be a powerful part of the healing journey. For Dawn, being a therapist is more than a profession; it’s a calling rooted in compassion, connection, and purpose.
Dawn holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and is a Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP) in the state of Michigan. She works primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) perspective, helping clients recognize and reframe negative thought patterns to create meaningful change in their lives. At the heart of her work is the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential—when trust is built, healing can begin.
Dawn’s professional background is as diverse as it is meaningful. She has served as a pregnancy counselor, worked in refugee resettlement, supported women in crisis, and managed a homeless shelter. These experiences have equipped her with deep empathy and a unique ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life.
She welcomes clients of all ages over 10, all backgrounds, and specializes in:
- D.I.D (Dissociative Identity Disorder)
- Grief and Loss
- Adoption and Foster Care
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma and PTSD
- Sexual Abuse
On a personal note, Dawn is an adoptive and foster parent and the proud mom of four adult children. Her dog, Poco, is her loyal little sidekick and oftentimes joins her in sessions. Outside of the therapy office, Dawn enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, photography, long walks, workouts, and spontaneous road trips.
Dawn would be honored to walk with you on your path toward healing, growth, and restoration.
