MA LPC
Leeanna holds a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary (GRTS), as well as a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Central Michigan University. She spent over seven years working in the nutrition and fitness industry, where she first felt God stirring her heart toward a different kind of healing—emotional, mental, and spiritual. As she worked one-on-one with clients, Leeanna discovered a deep gift for listening, having meaningful conversations, and walking with people through life’s challenges. This calling led her to return to school and pursue a career as a Christian counselor.
Leeanna is passionate about supporting women (ages 18 and up) who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and emotional eating. She primarily works from a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) perspective, helping clients identify, challenge, and reframe unhealthy thought patterns and core beliefs in order to promote emotional and behavioral change. At the same time, she recognizes that therapy is not one-size-fits-all and thoughtfully incorporates other approaches based on each client’s unique needs.
Believing that growth continues beyond the therapy room, Leeanna often incorporates “homework” into her sessions—practical exercises and reflections designed to help clients apply what they’ve learned and make lasting progress in their daily lives.
She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is passionate about using this powerful method to address negative core beliefs and trauma across the lifespan. Her goal is to help clients replace these beliefs with adaptive, life-affirming truths that lead to healing and wholeness.
Above all, Leeanna is deeply committed to creating a safe, compassionate space where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward and live as their most authentic selves.
